I haven't played through the entire thing yet but I've gotten about 5 missions in and I want to give some constructive criticism. It was not as good as I was expecting. It felt less of a new game, and more of like the old game with a different storyline. Sure, there are some new features, such as the more "gadget" style weapons, armor upgrades, more enemy variety, and all of those things are fantastic additions to be sure. The first game lacked some gameplay depth and these really filled a missing hole there. However, some things such as the clunky movement and strange AI behavior (along with lack of any real animation) are still here, even though I assumed those were things that would get ironed out for the second game. That said I love the game, and it kinda sucks on the other sites because it really is a game meant for full screen, so I'll enjoy playing it on Newgrounds. Good luck and keep up the good work!

Valid review, thank you.
We spent a lot of time with one off set pieces this time ( Like the "Ghostbusters library" sequence in level 2 when everything is exploding ) to try and make it more filmic and to vary things. Also the two characters / flipping back and forth in time etc.
At the end of the day though, it's a top down shooter, and as a sequel we couldn't really move too much out of that scope without annoying everyone who enjoyed the first, our plan was "More, just bigger".
And yeah, we tested it in full screen from the start, it's the best way to play it.

Best game I have played in awhile. The controls were awkward at first, but it didn't take long to get used to them and then it was fine. I suggest explaining them better in the tutorial. Some of the bosses were extremely frustrating, especially the last one, but once you realize how to dodge their attacks, it's possible. I think games these days are too easy, and I enjoyed playing something very challenging. One suggestion is that there should be more easier, "fun" levels, especially early on, where you get to get some practice in with the game's mechanics, facing a lot of easy enemies (perhaps ones that don't even fight back) and getting more chances to be stealthy. Well done.

Really nice. My biggest suggestion is that you need more enemies. Fighting the same thing over and over gets boring, and for the most part they all had the same basic AI. Can't wait for the second one!

This is an amazingly well done game that deserves more recognition. The only thing I didn't like was that a lot of times the jumping felt a bit off. I still beat it, but I wish that the challenge of the level didn't have to do with how precisely I could press the spacebar.

nice game

i love the show as well

good game but too easy

hint to those who fail: build a scrap yard before anything else. try to time your creeps in waves so its more effective. and try to get full scrap yards early on. other than that great game :P

Good Job!

This is a great game! This is just my opinion- seems a bit like Dead Frontier. The Double Pistol should be significantly better than the single, not slightly, there should be more weapons and areas, and it should take longer to get each subsequent weapon. Great job, but I wouldn't play it more than once.

AWESOME!!!

i loved the first one, this one is even better!

EPIX

this is very well done. people who say you will go to hell are wrong. god (if there is one) supports creativity. i like having the bible put into focus like this. i hope all you christians out there know that jesus was a jew, he had no special powers, and was a total idiot. i mean, hes just like the taliban! letting people kill him beleving he would go to heaven and get to screw virgins and stuff.. hes no better than a suicide bomber! jesus didnt create the universe. he was a normal guy who made a couple bad decisions. the only thing thats epic about jesus is that 1. he can summon zombies, and 2. he has a revolver. not to mention KUNG FU ACTION JESUS!

very very nice

much better than all that other DF crap, but i hope from now on you'll spend more time on the 3D DF. I saw some demo videos on youtube and they looked really nice.
